What is required to run Revu (formerly Stratus/InStadium) at your home venue?

This article will go over the requirements for the Revu system. Revu was formerly called Stratus and then InStadium

Components:

1 workstation for HIA with sightline to field

1 workstation for TMO + 1 extra monitor with sightline to field

1 Mobii Smart Encoder

Ethernet/Fibre cables – NOTE: ethernet cable runs are for shorter distances to prevent signal drop

Gigabit Switches to connect the components to each other and to the internet. IF using Fibre for longer runs, then SFP Connectors and SFP Switches are an additional requirement.

TV Camera feeds coming into Encoder

Stable and reliable Power supply with power surge protectors for each component.

Table and covering from weather and glare of sun. (no moisture / no extreme cold / no extreme heat)

TMO and HIA workstations need to be in a safe work environment – not too close to players/field so that a tackle into touch could injure players or damage the equipment. No kicked balls will damage computer.

NOTE: the simpler the layout (all users near each other on one side of the field, near production truck) the easier it is to set this up. The ideal situation is when the stadium has a built-in network that can transmit video feeds, it has existing ports around the stadium in suitable locations for those users, and has the TV transmission coming into a server room (near a press box) that we can set up the Encoder in a permanent location (server rack).
